What better way to start off my first blog on this site than by introducing our new daughter, Anika? She was born Monday April 28th at 2:39 pm weighing 7 lbs 8 oz and measuring 19 inches. She was three full weeks early so we were all surprised at her size (perhaps my due date was off by a week or two?). She joined our family of three - Jeremy and me and our three year old daughter Suzy. Suzy loves her new sister and tries to kiss and mall her at all times. Anika (or Ani as we'll call her) is a sweet good natured baby. She still sleeps a lot and when she is awake she just looks around contently and takes everything in. I can't thank Jeremy and our friends and family enough for all the help with meals, cleaning, babysitting and gifts!! My recovery has gone extremely well and I attribute it to all the rest I've been able to get. Thank you!!! Also a huge thanks to my Midwife Jules and birth doula Tiffany. They were both incredible and they made my home birth experience amazing and wonderful. Anika's middle name, Alice, is after Jeremy's grandma. She is a sweet 90 year old lady who we love very much.
